Where are you located?

We are located inside Rep 1 Fitness at 3313 West Broadway in Kistilano

Do I need to be a serious cyclist to participate?

Altius Velo offers a boutique power-based training experience for cyclists of all levels.  Each one-hour workout is scientifically curated and personalized to each rider’s goals and physiology.

Our riders love the focus and feedback of their personal data shown on our TV monitors.  For some it’s merely distraction.  For others it’s pure exhilaration and motivation to “bring it” every time!

How do I register for a class?

To register for a class you must first create an account. From the homepage click on login in the top right hand corner. From here you can login to your current account or create an account.

Do you have an app?

We use the StudioBookings app.  Simply download the app to your phone and under My Studios, select Altius Velo.  The app will allow you to view the schedule, register and purchase classes from the  convenience of your phone.

What do I need to bring to class?

What you need:

  • Bike shorts

  • Water Bottle

  • Heart rate monitor chest or arm strap (optional)

  • Cycling shoes with Shimano SPD-SL cleats. 

We have a selection of shoes available to use at the studio.  However, we strongly recommend you purchase your own shoes if you plan on riding with us regularly.

Are your workouts different each day?

We offer our riders two unique profiles each week.  Workout A is coached Monday through Wednesday morning.  Workout B is coached Wednesday evening through Friday.

Are there shower facilities and locker rooms at the studio?

Riders are provided with towels and have full access to showers, change rooms and lockers.

Do you offer one-on-one private coaching?

Whether your are an elite athlete training to race or a recreational rider looking to complete a bucket list event, Head Coach and Olympian Joanie Caron offers one-on-one coaching.  Limited availability. Inquire here

Can I create my own group session?

If you bring your team of up to seven riders we can create a private weekly class for your group. Contact us for more details.

Do you offer indoor classes year-round?

Our indoor classes run from October to May.

Do you offer a spring/summer outdoor program?

​

Club Altius Velo runs May to mid-September. Join us for Monday night social rides around UBC and Stanley Park!  6 p.m. hard start from Rep 1 Fitness at 3313 West Broadway. Once a member, riders must pre-register for each ride and hold a valid Cycling BC club licence. Rides will be hosted by Altius Velo coaches and certified ride leaders but these are not coached rides.

Membership: $125 for the season and includes an Altius Velo water bottle.  Cycling BC licence is not included.

No rides on statutory holidays and will be cancelled if it’s raining.  Register early! Each ride will be capped at 15 cyclists per outing.
